Education Policy Committee to Meet March 14 at UMBC

The Committee on Education Policy of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ (USM) Board of Regents will meet in public session on Wednesday, March 14 at 9 a.m. on the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

The committee will consider several agenda items, including:

  • Proposed new programs in dance and theatre leading to dual degrees in bachelor of arts and bachelor of science at Frostburg State University.

  • USM enrollment projections for 2001-2010.

  • Proposed USM faculty policy on conduct, discipline, assistance and education regarding the abuse of drugs and alcohol.

  • Modification of USM policy on the common academic calendar, prompted by the changing nature of course delivery at certain institutions.

  • Shared governance accountability plans.

  • Follow-up on campus crime report, focusing on alcohol, drug and weapons violations.
